The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has officially announced a massive 2026 recruitment Notification (Advt. No. Apprenticeship/2026-27/SR-II/01) to fill 32 Apprentice vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this Power Grid Corporation of India Limited i.e. https://www.powergrid.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 25.08.2026 for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 10.09.2026.

Eligible candidates with qualifications ITI, Diploma, B.E/B.Tech B.Sc can apply online. Candidates should note that the primary Job locations for these posts are Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka. Educational Qualification for POWERGRID: 

1. ITI Electrician – ITI in Electrician Trade (Full-Time course)
2. Diploma(Electrical) – Full Time (3 years course) – Diploma in Electrical Engineering 
3. Diploma (Civil) – Full Time (3 years course) – Diploma in Civil Engineering 
4. Graduate (Electrical) – Full Time (4 years course) – B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical Engineering. 
5. Graduate (Civil) – Full Time (4 years course) – B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil Engineering

Note: Candidates who possess educational qualifications as mentioned above and passed (date of result of final examination) within two years from the closing date of application

  • NAPS for ITI (Electrician) at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in or 
  • NATS for Degree/ Diploma in Engineering at https://nats.education.gov.in/ and complete/update their profile by uploading all the required documents.
• After getting the NAPS/NATS registration/enrolment number, candidates should apply on the POWERGRID website.
