The ISRO – National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) has officially announced a massive 2026 recruitment Notification (Advt. No. NRSC/RMT/1/2026) to fill 48 Research Scientist, Project Associate-I, Project Scientist-B vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this ISRO – National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) i.e. https://www.nrsc.gov.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 01.08.2026 for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 21.08.2026.

Eligible candidates with qualifications B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, M.sc can apply online. Candidates should note that the primary Job locations for these posts are Hyderabad. Registered candidates will receive a link to download their exam hall tickets via email approximately 4 to 7 days prior to the examination date.

Educational Qualification for ISRO NRSC: 

  1. Research Scientist (RS20) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.E. / M. Tech in Civil Engg with Specialization in Hydrology / Irrigation Water Management / Water Resources or Equivalent Specialization with B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering / Agriculture Engineering
  2. Research Scientist (RS21) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.E / M. Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information Technology or Equivalent Specialization with B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering
  3. Research Scientist (RS22) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.Sc, M.Sc Tech, M.Tech in Geology, Applied, Geology or Equivalent Specialization. with B.Sc in Geology and Physics/Mathematics as Compulsory subjects
  4. Research Scientist (RS23) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.E / M. Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics or Equivalent Specialization. with B.E/B.Tech in any branch of Engineering

    • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology or Equivalent Specialization.
  8. Project Associate II (PAII-02) – 
    • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology or Equivalent Specialization. 02 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organisations, and Scientific activities and services. 
    • Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of programming with expertise in AI, ML, DL, Python, React JS, OpenLayers, Flutter, Leaflet, Geoserver, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Geospatial Data Management, GIS Database Handling.
  9. Project Associate II (PAII-03) –
    • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Geoinformatics or Equivalent Specialization. OR M.Sc. in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS or Equivalent Specialization with B.Sc. Physics/ Mathematics as one of the subjects. ii. 02 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organisations, and Scientific activities and services. 
    • Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of Remote Sensing & GIS 
  10. Project Scientist-B (PSB03) –
    • Essential Qualification: M.Sc, M.Sc Tech/ M.Tech in Geology/ Applied Geology or Equivalent Specialization. with B.Sc in Geology and Physics/Mathematics as Compulsory Subjects
