Staff Selection Commission invites online recruitment applications through Staff Selection Commission website (https://ssc.gov.in/) (Advt. No. E/37/2026-C-2 SECTION) for the following posts of 1871 Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026 vacancies on regular basis. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, According to the official timeline, the online application portal opens today, 10.09.2026, and interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date on 30.09.2026 at 11.00 PM.

SSC Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for SSC: (As on 30.09.2026)

  • Sub Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Sub Inspector (SI) in GD (General Duty) in CAPFs – 
    • Bachelor’s degree (Graduates) from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Sub Inspector (SI) (Fire) – 
    • Bachelor’s degree (Graduates)  in science with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of an accredited University or equivalent; OR 
    • Matriculation/10th or equivalent and 03 years Diploma Holders in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automoblies Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering OR equivalent examination passed from an accredited University or Board or Institutions. 
    • The higher qualification i.e. B. Tech/M Tech in concerned fields can be allowed as the same will be value addition for the post subject to basic qualification (Diploma Holders) being there.

Age Limit for SSC: (As on 01.08.2026)

  1. Age limit for all posts except SI(FIRE) in CISF is 20-25 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.2001 and not later than 01.08.2006 to be eligible to apply. 
  2. Age limit for SI(FIRE) in CISF is 18-30 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008 to be eligible to apply.

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

  • +5 Years for ST/SC  
  • +3 Years for OBC (NCL)  
  • Persons with Disabilities candidate:
    • +10 Years for UR  
    • +13 Years for OBC (NCL)
