Bharathiar University Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for Bharathiar University:
- Director (Centre for Distance and Online Education) –
- A Master’s Degree with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven (7) point scale.
- At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale)/ Assistant Professor with eight (8) years in the Associate Professor grade with experience in educational administration. (or) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. (or) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
- Additional Controller of Examinations –
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
- A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution / Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix, Table 2.
- Dean (College Development Council) –
- A i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix, Table 2. ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university / college as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University / National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates. (OR)
- B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant / allied / applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he / she has ten years’ experience.
- Programme Co – Ordinator, NSS –
- Associate Professor / Senior Assistant Professor in the University or Affiliated College.
- Principal of an Affiliated College, of the status of Associate Professor, with NSS background.
- Must have been a Programme Officer (NSS) for at least three years.
- Must have undergone NSS orientation in a Training and Orientation Centre (TOC) / Training, Orientation & Research Centre (TORC).
- Public Relations Officer –
- Essential: Good academic record plus Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale”.
- Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development or Diploma in Mass Communication / Public Relations of a recognized University / Institution.
- Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying out official correspondence and drafting reports.
Age Limit for Bharathiar University:
- Director (Centre for Distance and Online Education) – Should have completed 50 years but below 57 years
- Additional Controller of Examinations – Maximum of 57 years
- Dean (College Development Council) – Should have completed 52 years but not exceed 57 years
