No. RRC-01/S&G/2026-27 Dated: 19.09.2026) for the following posts of 17 Scouts and Guides Quota Posts on regular basis. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, According to the official timeline, the online application portal opens today, 19.09.2026 at 09.00 AM, and interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date on 18.10.2026 at 11.59 PM.

Eligible candidates possessing a 10th, ITI can apply exclusively via the online mode. Southern Railway Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: 

• Level – 2 – Passed 12th (+2 stage) with not less than Fifty Percentage marks in aggregate (Fifty Percentage not insisted for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen for NTPC categories), OR passed Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI Qualification approved by NCVT for technician categories.
• Level – 1 – 10th pass OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT, or 10th pass plus NAC/ITI.

Scouts & Guides Qualification:

• Must possess a President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge certificate across any section. Candidates are required to have maintained active membership in a recognized scouts organization for the past 5 years, along with participation in at least two state-level events as well as two national or all-India railway level events.

Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2027)

1. Level – 2 – 18 to 30 Years
2. Level – 1 – 18 to 33 Years

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• +5 Years for ST/SC  
• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)  
• Persons with Disabilities candidate:
  • +10 Years for UR  
  • +13 Years for OBC (NCL)  
  • +15 Years for ST/SC
