Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) invites online recruitment applications through Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) website (https://cpri.res.in/) (Advt. No. CPRI/06/2026) for the following posts of 110 Engineering Officer Grade 1, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician Grade 1, Technical Attendant Grade 1, Assistant Gr. II, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Grade 1 (Watch & Ward Duties) vacancies on regular basis. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, According to the official timeline, the online application portal opens today, 19.09.2026, and interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date on 12.10.2026.

CPRI Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: 

1. Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Electrical) – 
   • Qualification: First Class B.E/B.Tech from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. 
   • GATE Score: Must possess a valid GATE Score from 2024, 2025, or 2026 (GATE paper discipline: Electrical Engineering).
2. Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Civil) – 
   • Qualification: First Class B.E/B.Tech from an accredited university in Civil Engineering 
   • GATE Score: Must possess a valid GATE Score from 2024, 2025, or 2026 (GATE paper discipline: Electrical Engineering).
3. Engineering Assistant (Electrical) – 
   • Qualification: First Class B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry from an accredited University with 5 years of experience in the relevant subject field.
4. Engineering Assistant (Mechanical) – 
   • Qualification: First Class 3 year Diploma Holders in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience in relevant field.
5. Scientific Assistant – 
   • Qualification: First Class 3 year Diploma Holders in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in relevant field.
6. Technician Grade 1 (Electrical) – 
   • Qualification: ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
7. Technician Grade 1 (Mechanical) – 
   • Qualification: ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical
8. Technical Attendant Grade 1 – 
   • Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass from an accredited Board.
   • Desirable: ITI Trade Certificate (Two-year) in the Mechanical or Electrical stream 
9. Assistant Gr. II – 
   • Qualification: First Class BA/ B.Sc./ BBM/ BCA /B.Com/ BBAGraduate from an accredited university and minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) on the closing date of recruitment application. 
   • Note: Only the above-mentioned Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) shall be accepted. No other computer courses shall be accepted for this post.
