Indian Coast Guard has released the recruitment notification No: RCR/O/CGRHQ(AE) to fill the 05 Store Keeper Grade-II, Engine Driver, Lascar, Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade), MTS (MT Cleaner) Posts. The application form should be downloaded in PDF format from the official website @ https://indiancoastguard.gov.in/. The last date for the receipt of Filled application along with all enclosures is 21.12.2026. Before submitting an application, candidates must carefully read the Indian Coast Guard Group C notification and verify their eligibility.

Indian Coast Guard Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: 

• Store Keeper Grade-II –
  • Essential: 12th Pass from a recognized Board or University. One year of experience in handling stores from any recognized firm, Central or State Government Organization, or Public Sector Undertaking.
• Engine Driver –
  • Essential: Matriculation Pass from a recognized Board or equivalent. Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Two years of service as Sarang on a vessel of over 400 Boat Horse Power.
• Lascar –
  • Essential: Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board. Three years of experience in service on a boat.
• Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) –
  • Essential: 10th Standard Pass. Must possess a valid Driving Licence for both Heavy and Light Motor Vehicles. 2 years of driving experience. Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
• MTS (MT Cleaner) –
  • Essential: Matriculation or equivalent pass. Two years of experience in a mechanical workshop.

Age Limit: (As on 21.12.2026)

1. Store Keeper Grade-II – 18 to 25 years
2. Engine Driver – 18 to 30 years
3. Lascar – 18 to 30 years
4. Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) – 18 to 27 years

• The application with duly affixed self-attested colour photograph should be accompanied by Xerox copies of all the educational, technical and experience certificates/marks sheets, caste certificates in prescribed format, etc. 
• The duly filled application with all the requisite documents should be sent to “The Commander, Coast Guard Region (East), Near Napier Bridge, Fort St George (PO), Chennai – 600 009” by Ordinary Post only within 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.
• It is mandatory that the envelope containing the application should be clearly superscribed in BOLD letters with notation “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______________” viz. Store Keeper-II, Engine Driver, CMTD(OG), Lascar, MTS (MT Cleaner) and also the category for which they applied for viz. UR/EWS/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST.
