NPCIL Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Trade Apprentice – ITI Pass Certificate in respective Trade.
- Diploma Apprentice – Diploma Pass Certificate in engineering or technology in respective Discipline.
- Graduate Apprentice (Electrical, Mechanical) – Graduate Degree in engineering or technology in respective Discipline.
- Graduate Apprentice (Human Resource, Finance & Accounts, Contract & Material Management) – Graduate or equivalent in general streams such as BBA, BA, B.Sc., B.Com., etc. other than engineering or technology granted by a statutory University or an institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament or passed the graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Govt. as an equivalent degree.
Age Limit: (As on 18.11.2026)
- Trade Apprentice – 18 – 24 years
- Diploma Apprentice – 18 – 25 years
- Graduate Apprentice – 18 – 26 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
- +5 Years for ST/SC
- +3 Years for OBC (NCL)

- Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria should first register themselves (as a candidate) on National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme 2.0 (NAPS 2.0) / National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0) portal as given below:
- Trade apprentices need to register themselves at National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme 2.0 (NAPS 2.0) portal “ https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in ”.
- The Diploma Apprentice and Graduate Apprentice need to register themselves at National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0) portal “ https://www.nats.education.gov.in/ ”.
- After registering there, candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria for any post may submit the application form available at the NPCIL website “ www.npcilcareers.co.in ”. Before applying, the candidate (apprentice) shall ensure his/her eligibility for apprentice training.
