Southern Railway Recruitment 2026: Southern Railway invites online recruitment applications through Southern Railway website (https://iroams.com/) (Advt. No. RRC-02/Sports/2026-27) for the following posts of 62 Sports Person vacancies on regular basis. 

The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, According to the official timeline, the online application portal opens today, 26.09.2026, and interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date on 25.10.2026.

Eligible candidates possessing a 10th, 12th, ITI, Any Degree can apply exclusively via the online mode. Southern Railway Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for Southern Railway: 

• Level 1 Categories – 10th/SSLC Pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC granted by NCVT 
• Level 3/2 Categories – Passed 12th/HSC (+2 stage) or equivalent examination or Passed Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship for technical categories or Passed Matriculation plus ITI Qualification approved by NCVT/SCVT for technical categories. 
• Level 5/4 Categories – Any Graduate

Note: To qualify under this notification, candidates must be active players with recognized sports accomplishments achieved during the current or preceding two financial years (specifically from 01.04.2024, up to the date of notification).

Minimum Sports Norms For Recruitment:

• Level-5 or 4:
  •  At least Third position in the World Cup (Junior Level/ /Youth Level/ Senior category Level)/World Championships (Junior Level/ Senior Level category)/Asian Games (Senior Level Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)/Youth Olympics / Champions Trophy (Hockey) (Category-‘B’)
• Level-3 or 2:
  • Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior Level/ Youth Level/Senior Level category)/World Championships (Junior Level/ Senior Level category)/Asian Games (Senior Level Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Level Category)/ Youth Olympics / Champions Trophy (Hockey (Category – B) (OR) 
  • At least Third position in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior Level/Senior Level)/Asian Championship (Junior Level/Senior Level) / Asia Cup (Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation Games (Senior Level)/USIC (world Railways) championships (senior Level)/ World University Games (Category-C) (OR) 
  • At least Third position in Senior Level/Youth Level/Junior National Championships (OR) 
  • At least Third Position in National Games organised under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR) 
  • At least Third Position in All India Inter University Championships organised under the Aegis of Association of Indian Universities (OR) 
  • First position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Level Category).
• Level-1:
  • Represented the Country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior Level/Senior Level)/Asian Championship (Junior Level/Senior Level) /Asia Cup (Junior Level/senior Level)/South Asian Federation Games (Senior Level)/USIC (world Railways) championships (senior Level)/World University Games (Category – ‘C’) (OR) 
  • At least Third Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Level Category) (OR) 
  • Represented a State or equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships only. In addition to the above, candidates possessing the undermentioned sports norms are also eligible to apply. At least Third position in Youth Level/Junior Level National Championships. (OR) 
  • At least Third Position in National Games organised under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR) 
  • Secured at least Third position in the All India Inter-University Championships conducted under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities
