IOL has released the recruitment notification No: IOLHqrs/100(6)/2026-Rectt to fill the 98 Project Technician Posts. The application form should be downloaded in PDF format from the official website @ https://indiaoptel.in/. The last date for the receipt of Filled application along with all enclosures is 03.10.2026. Before submitting an application, candidates must carefully read the IOL Project Technician notification and verify their eligibility. 

The official place of posting for all the 98 positions will be Dehradun. Eligible candidates possessing a ITI can apply exclusively via the Offline mode. Applicants must have a working Email Address and Mobile Number that they maintain until the IOL Recruitment 2026 results are announced.

IOL Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for IOL: 

• Matriculation + National Trade Certificate (NTC)/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training. 
• For Ex-Servicemen: Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class-III equivalent to NAC (with due endorsement of the equivalence of Civil Qualification on their certificate). OR 
• Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class-II & Class-I equivalent to NTC (with due endorsement of the equivalence of Civil Qualification on their certificate).
• Trade wise concerned  NAC/ NTC certificate required are as under :-
  • Project Technician (Fitter Instruments) – Instrument Mechanic, Advance Mechanic (Instruments) 
  • Project Technician (Fitter Electronics) – Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Mechatronics, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Mechanic (Embedded Systems and PLC), Mechanic Power Electronics (Inverter, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and Maintenance of drives) 
  • Project Technician (Machinist) – Machinist 
  • Project Technician (Optical Worker) – Optical Worker 
  •  Project Technician (Electroplater) – Electroplater

Age Limit for IOL: (As on 03.10.2026)

1. Project Technician – 18 – 32 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• +5 Years for ST/SC  
• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)  
• Persons with Disabilities candidate:
  • +10 Years for UR  
  • +13 Years for OBC (NCL)  
  • +15 Years for ST/SC
• For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy

Pay Scale for IOL:

1. Project Technician – Rs.20,000/- Rs.65,000/-
