GSL Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: ¸

• Assistant Superintendent (Hindi Translator) – 
  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree (Graduates) in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from an accredited University / Institute with minimum 01 year Diploma Holders in Hindi translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa. OR Bachelor’s degree in any subject with PG Diploma Holders/Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional from an accredited university/institute. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should have a minimum 2 years post qualification relevant work experience of translation from Hindi to English and vice versa. 
  • Desirable: Master’s degree of an accredited university in English/Hindi.
• Junior Supervisor (Safety-Electrical) – 
  • Essential: 03 years full time Diploma Holders in Electrical Engineering and one year full time Diploma Holders in Industrial Safety awarded by Board of Technical Education of any State Government / Union territory or CLI, RLI (Ministry of Labour). 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess minimum 2 years post qualification relevant work experience in the supervisory capacity. 
  • Desirable: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Junior Supervisor (Substation) – 
  • Essential: 03 years full time Diploma Holders in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an accredited Institute / University and valid 33KV supervisor license, competency certificate, issued by State Electrical Licensing Authority. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years post qualification relevant experience in operation and maintenance of substations / transformers / switchgears / load management and power distribution systems in industrial establishments, shipyards, ports or power utilities. 
  • Desirable: Candidates having valid 33KV supervisor license, competency certificate, issued by State Electrical Licensing Authority, Electricity Department of Goa will be preferred. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Technical Assistant (Mechanical) – 
  • Essential: 03 years full time Diploma Holders in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Institute / University. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 2 years of experience in the line. 
  • Desirable: Ability to work on Auto CAD. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Technical Assistant – Mechanical (Mumbai office) – 
  • Essential: 03 years full time Diploma Holders in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Institute / University. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 2 years of experience in the line.

  • Desirable: Preference will be given to those Applicants who have undergone National Apprenticeship Certificate in Shipbuilding Industry or have relevant work experience in Public Sector / Private Shipyards/ Naval Workshops. • Welder – 
  • Essential: ITI in the trade of Welder. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years experience in the line in the shipbuilding industry. 
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to those candidates who have undergone National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Shipbuilding Industry or have relevant work experience in Public Sector / Private Shipyards/ Naval Workshops. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Instrument Mechanic – 
  • Essential: ITI in Instrument Mechanic. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years experience in the line. 
  • Desirable: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Diesel Mechanic – 
  • Essential: ITI in Diesel Mechanic. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years experience in the line. 
  • Desirable: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Khalasi – 
• Essential: SSC with ITI in Fitter / Fitter General and 2 years experience in the line/trade from a shipbuilding industry. OR
  • The applicant should possess SSC with Certificate from deck/engine department and 2 years experience in the line/trade from a shipbuilding industry OR  The applicant should possess SSC with 04 years experience in shipbuilding industry mainly in Shiplift / Shipwright / deck engine / Docking Undocking/Berthing sections. 
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to those candidates who have undergone National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from Shipyards like Goa Shipyard Limited, Mazagon Dock Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited etc. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Safety Steward – 
  • Essential: SSC and one year Diploma Holders in Industrial safety/ fire & safety/ Safety management from accredited institute. 
  • Essential Work Experience: Minimum 02 years of experience in the line. 
  • Desirable: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• EOT Crane Operator – 
  • Essential: SSC with ITI in Electrical / Electronics trade from an accredited institute.
  • Essential Work Experience: Minimum 02 years relevant experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of Electrical Operated Cranes/Electrical Level Luffing/ cranes. Must have hands-on experience in troubleshooting and attending breakdowns in both Power, PLC & Control Circuits of electrical cranes. Should possess adequate knowledge of maintenance of HT (High Tension) equipment and must also have practical exposure to electrical repair & maintenance of Slip Ring Assembly Units, VCB and Cable Reel Drum of electrical cranes. 
  • Desirable: Candidate having electrical supervisory license permit for 11KV and above will have added advantage. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• 3G welder – 
  • Essential: SSC and certification course in 3G Welding by any authorised Competent agency or Government Organisation.
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years experience in the shipbuilding industry. 
  • Desirable: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English.
• Painter – 
  • Essential: SSC qualification. 
  • Essential Work Experience: The candidate should possess a minimum 02 years experience in the shipbuilding industry. 
  • Desirable: The candidate with ITI in painting or any certification course in painting and having experience as painter in Shipbuilding or Heavy Engineering Industry will be preferred. Adequate working knowledge of Konkani/Marathi along with Hindi & English
• Steward – Cook – 
  • Essential: SSC with minimum 10 years experience in cooking and catering management. Experienced Cook from Armed Forces Officers’ Mess/ IN Ships. Experience in Planning menus, preparation of all types of cuisines and supervision of catering activities is essential. 
  • Desirable: Candidates holding qualifications from Armed Forces, Cookery / Stewards training school and holding the rank of Leading and above can apply provided they fulfil the essential qualification & Experience. The candidates should be able to cook different varieties of Indian / Continental / Chinese food, lay the table during Officers’ Lunches / Dinners, make an estimate for requirement of food, keep proper records of accounts of daily commodities required for the Industrial canteen / Lunch Room and small parties on special occasions, keep record of inventory of Lunch Rooms / Guest House, make entry of Guest in register and prepare bill of In-house guest etc. Preference for Cooks who have served as retinue staff to Two/ Three stars’ officers in Armed Forces.
