SSC Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for SSC: (As on 01.08.2026)
- Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University
Age Limit for SSC: (As on 01.08.2026)
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2026, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008 are eligible to apply.
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2026, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2008are eligible to apply.
Relaxation of Upper age limit:

Scheme of Examination:
- There will be a total of 200 questions divided into the section General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions), General Awareness (50 questions), English Language and Comprehension (100 questions).
- Each question is followed by 4 Choices.
- The candidate should choose only once choice and submit the same.
- There will be both Hindi and English versions of the questions.
- In the computer-based exam, each incorrect response will result in a deduction of 0.25 points.
