CSIR-CLRI Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for CSIR-CLRI: 

1. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech. in Leather Technology with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute. 
   • Desirable Experience: Minimum 6 months of industrial knowledge/exposure in either of the following areas (i) Leather processing, particularly in cleaner leather technologies, process control studies, product‑specific leather development, and related demonstration/validation activities (ii) Sustainability assessment/Data collection and handling/leather processing and environmental management with working knowledge in computer (MS office) applications (iii) Testing & evaluation of chemicals and material characterization
2. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical/ Instrumentation / Civil / Mechanical/ Electrical Engg. with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute. 
   • Desirable Experience: (i) Minimum 6 months of industrial knowledge/ exposure in process industries, alternate/ renewable energy applications, and environmental processes, along with a demonstrated interest in R&D related to process optimization and efficiency improvement (ii) Minimum 6 months of industrial knowledge/ exposure in the analysis of wastewater, solid waste samples, operation of bench scale biological reactors, and computer operations (iii) M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical (or) minimum 6 months experience in electronics manufacturing industry /research (iv) M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Safety Engineering (or) minimum 6 months Industry experience preferred.
3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (General/ Organic / Nanotechnology/ Polymer Science/ Material Science/ Inorganic / Physical / Analytical) with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute with NET/GATE Qualification or M.Sc. in Chemistry (General/ Organic / Nanotechnology/ Polymer Science/ Material Science/ Inorganic / Physical / Analytical) with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute. 
   • Desirable Experience: (i) First class or equivalent in MSc (ii) Good academic record with research experience in any of the following: • Organic and polymerization reactions/coatings on surfaces • Colloids and surface sciences (surfactants/emulsions / fat liquors) • Organic synthesis • Inorganic/composite materials synthesis. (iii) Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with characterisation methods (iv) Working knowledge of MS Office (v) Motivation to undertake scientific research as a career with an interest to pursue Ph.D through this Project work
4. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (General/ Organic / Nanotechnology/ Polymer Science/ Material Science/ Inorganic / Physical / Analytical) with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute.
   • Desirable Experience: (i) First class or equivalent in MSc (ii) Good academic record with research experience in any of the following: • Organic and polymerization reactions/coatings on surfaces • Colloids and surface sciences (surfactants/emulsions / fatliquors) • Organic synthesis • Inorganic/composite materials synthesis. • Chromatography, and spectroscopic characterization techniques • Analysis of wastewater, and solid waste samples (iii) Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with characterisation methods (iv) Working knowledge of MS Office (v) Motivation to undertake scientific research as a career with an interest to pursue Ph.D through this Project work
5. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: M. Sc in Polymer Science/Polymer Chemistry/ Material science with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute (or) B.E./B.Tech. in Polymer Technology with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute 
   • Desirable Experience: M.Tech in Footwear Science and Engineering / Footwear Engineering and Management (or) Minimum of 6 months experience in footwear making /material testing and characterization
6. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
   • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute 
   • Desirable Experience: Working knowledge of MS Office and Data Management

9. Senior Project Associate (Senior-PAT) – 
   • Essential Qualification: M.Pharm /M.Sc. Biotechnology / Lifesciences with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute and 3 years of Research experience (or) M.Tech Biotechnology/ Life science with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute 
   • Desirable Experience: 4 years of research experience in biomaterial fabrication / animal handling
10. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Microbiology/ Environmental Science/ Biotechnology with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute 
    • Desirable Experience: Minimum 6 months experience or knowledge in the following areas (i) Analysis of wastewater, solid waste samples (ii) Knowledge in microbial techniques (iii) Operation of bench scale biological reactors (iv) Computer operations

16. Project Assistant-II (PA-II) – 
    • Essential Qualification: B.Sc in Fashion Technology or Apparel Technology, Fashion Design, Textile, Leather Design with minimum Sixty Percentage marks from an accredited University/ Institute 
    • Desirable Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in leather / non-leather product making industry
17. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
    • Essential Qualification: B.Tech./ B. Des in Leather/ Textile/ Leather Design / Accessories Design/ Fashion Design or equivalent from an accredited university
    • Desirable Experience: Knowledge in Leather/ Textile Product Design and Development. Work experience in Leather / Textile Product Design and Fabrication. Knowledge in design & development of new products from sketch to finished products.  Exploration of new materials and its application with leather.  Impart training in Goods/Garments on Pattern Making and Finished Products.
18. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
    • Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or M. Sc / MCA in Computer Science from an accredited University/ Institute.
    • Desirable Experience: i. Knowledge in documentation, presentation skills ii. Knowledge in design & development of skill analytics dashboards iii. Knowledge in AI predictive models iv. 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
19. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 
    • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Bioinformatics / Chemistry / Biotechnology) or Bachelors in Engineering / Technology (Biotechnology) with minimum 55% marks from an accredited University / Institute
