TN MRB Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for TN MRB: (As on 01.07.2025)
- MBBS qualified Medical officers possessing additional Education qualification to the extent of MD/MS/DNB/Diploma/Diploma in DNB/ Superspeciality (MCH) in the respective specialities
- In addition to the above, the candidate
- Must be a registered practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.
- Must have worked for at least 12 months as a House Surgeon (CRRI).
- Applicants should have registered their name in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council
- If an Applicant claims that the educational qualification possessed by him/her is equivalent though not the same as those prescribed for the appointment, the onus of proof rests with the candidate.
- The Postgraduate degree or diploma holders possessing PG Qualifications, after MBBS, recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) shall be eligible for recruitment in the respective institutions appropriate to their speciality, and recruited as per the suitability of their degree, diploma or equivalent qualification.
Age Limit for TN MRB:
- For SCA/ SC/ ST/ BC / BCM / MBC/ DNC (including Ex-Servicemen belonging to these communities – No Maximum Age Limit
- For Other Applicants – 47 Years
- For PWBD Applicants – 47 Years
- For Ex-Servicemen Belonging to “Other” Applicants – 48 Years
