- Quota for ICAR – BTech (Food Technology and Dairy Technology): Fifteen per cent (15%) of the total number of seats in btech (Food technology and dairy technology) degree is reserved for the candidates selected By the icar, new delhi (for further details, contact icar).

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants should be an Indian Citizen & Native State of Tamilnadu.
- Applicants who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. in Tamilnadu are eligible to apply. They need not submit Nativity Certificate.
- The candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu and have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu should enclose Nativity Certificate as given in Annexure – I. The nativity certificate should have the mandatory statement that “the Applicant is a native of the state of Tamil Nadu by birth”.
- Stream Of Education
- BVSc & AH – The Academic Stream (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany & Zoology) and the Vocational Stream (comprising Biology and Agricultural Science with specializations in Agricultural Practices, Poultry, or Dairying).
- BTech (Food Technology / Poultry Technology / Dairy Technology) – For BTech degree programme, only candidates who studied in the Academic Stream (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are eligible.
- Vocational Stream Candidates for Tamil Nadu State: Five Per Cent (5%) Of The Total Number Of Seats in BVSc & AH is reserved for the candidates studied under Vocational Stream of HSC of Tamil Nadu State (candidates studied in Vocational Stream of Board Examination other than Tamil Nadu are not eligible to apply). The candidates from Vocational Stream shall be considered for admission to BVSc & AH degree programme only (not eligible for BTech degree programme) against the seats reserved for them and they will not be considered under any other categories.
Age Limit
- Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2026.

- SC/SCA/ST Candidates – No maximum age limit
- Other Candidates – 21 Years
