The CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) has officially announced a massive 2026 recruitment Notification (Advt. No. CIMFR-_02/2026) to fill 30 Technician- 1 Group- II (1) vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) i.e. http://www.cimfr.res.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 20.05.2026 for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 19.06.2026.

Eligible candidates with qualifications 10th, ITI can apply online. Candidates should note that the primary Job locations for these posts are Dhanbad. Registered candidates will receive a link to download their exam hall tickets via email approximately 4 to 7 days prior to the examination date.

Educational Qualification for CSIR CIMFR:

  1. Technician-1/Gr.-II – Instrument Mechanics
    • Essential Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Five Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Instrument Mechanics from a recognized institution. OR SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Five Percentage marks and 2 years‟ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Instrument Mechanics from a recognized institution. OR SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Five Percentage marks and 3 years of work experience in Instrument Mechanics in a Ministry / Department/ Organization / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT. 
  2. Technician-1/Gr.-II – Survey/ Surveyor/ Surveying
    • Essential Qualification:  SSC / 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Five Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Survey/ Surveyor/ Surveying from a recognized institution. OR SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Five Percentage marks and 2 years‟ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Survey/ Surveyor/ Surveying from a recognized institution.
