UPSC Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification Qualification for UPSC: 

  1. Joint Director (Crops Development Directorate) – 
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology or Nematology or Genetics And Plant Breeding or  Plant Physiology or Seeds Science and Technology or Agriculture Botany or Plant Bio Technology or Plant Pathology orSoil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from an accredited university or institute. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from an accredited University or institute
    • Experience: Three years of experience in the production, productivity, planning, development, or extension of food or cash crops, such as oilseeds, jute, cotton, sugarcane, pulses, wheat, coarse cereals, or rice, in a government or semi-government organization, public sector endeavor, autonomous body, recognized research institute, or agricultural university
  2. Medical Officer/Research Officer (Siddha) – 
    • Educational Qualification: (i) A degree in Siddha from an accredited university or statutory state Board or Council or Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent accredited under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970). (ii) Enrolment on the central register of Indian medicine or state register of Indian medicine.
  3. Aeronautical Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited University.
    • Experience: Two (02) years’ Experience in aircraft design and development including aircraft electrical or electronics or mechanical systems or airworthiness engineering.
  4. Legal Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from an accredited university. 
    • Experience: Three years’ Experience in the field of legal practice.
  5. Company Prosecutor – 
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree in law or integrated degree in law from an accredited university or institution.
  6. Deputy Superintending Archaeologist – 
    • Educational Qualification: (A) (i) Master Degree in Archaeology or Master degree in Indian History (with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as a subject or paper) or Post Graduate in Anthropological (with stone-age Archaeology as a subject or paper) or Master degree in Geology (with Pleistocene Geology as a subject or a paper) from an accredited University or Institute. (ii) Doctorate degree in Archaeology or Indian History or Anthropology or Geology from an accredited University or Institute. OR (B) (i) Master Degree in Archaeology or Master degree in Indian History (with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as a subject or paper) or Post Graduate in Anthropological (with stone-age Archaeology as a subject or paper) or Master degree in Geology (with Pleistocene Geology as a subject or a paper) from an accredited University or Institute and (ii) Post Graduate Diploma In Archaeology with a minimum duration of one year from recognized University of Institute; and (iii) Three years field Experience in archaeology (Which must include Experience in excavation).
  7. Senior Photographic Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Degree from an accredited university. 
    • Eyxperience: Three years of experience in a variety of photographic fields, including press photography in a print or audiovisual media organization.
  8. Photographic Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Degree from an accredited university. 
    • Experience: Two years of experience in a variety of photographic fields, including press photography in a print or audio-visual media organization.
  9. Civilian Assistant Security Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree of an accredited University or Institute.
    • Experience: Three years professional Experience in Security and Fire Fighting Duties. 
  10. Store Officer (Civilian) –
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Science from an accredited university.
    • Experience: Three years’ Experience in Managing Stores with Experience in functions such as inventory control and Management, Stock Maintenance/Stock taking, receipt & issue Settling Bills payments etc.
  11. Specialist Grade III (Orthopaedics) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree or diploma in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A or Section B of Schedule VI i.e. Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics); or Diplomate National Board (Orthopaedics); or Post graduate diploma in orthopaedics.
    • Experience: At 03 three years’ Experience in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty after acquiring the first Post Graduate degree or five years’ Experience following the post graduate certificate.
  12. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Cardiology) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctorate of medicine (Cardiology) or Diplomate National Board (Cardiology).
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  13. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Cardio vascular & thoracic surgery) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications ) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Magister Chirurgiae (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurgiae (Thoracic Surgery); or Magister Chirurgiae (Cardiac Surgery); or Magister Chirurgiae (Vascular Surgery); or Diplomate National Board (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery/ Thoracic Surgery/ Cardiac Surgery/ Vascular Surgery).
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  14. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neurology) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Neurology) or Diplomate National Board (Neurology).
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  15. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Orthopaedics) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) or Diplomate National Board (Orthopaedics).  
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  16. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Paediatric Nephrology) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute. Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) with Doctorate of Medicine (Nephrology); or Three years of teaching experience following a doctorate, including two years of specialized study in pediatric nephrology.
  17. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Paediatric Oncology) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications ) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Paediatric Oncology).
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  18. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation); or Diplomate National Board (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation); or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; or Master of Surgery (General Surgery)/Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) with two years’ special training in the Speciality of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Medicine) or or Diplomate National Board (General Surgery/Orthopaedics) with two years of specialized training in the Specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Rehabilitation Medicine) or two years of equivalent training approved in the subject in any approved institution in India.
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  19. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Social & Preventive Medicine or Community Medicine) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Social and Preventive Medicine) or Doctor of Medicine (Community Medicine) or Doctor of Medicine (Community Health Administration) or Doctor of Medicine (Health Administration) or Diplomate National Board (Social and Preventive Medicine/ Community Medicine/ Community Health Administration/Health Administration).
  20. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Urology) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualification qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) PG Degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Magister Chirurgiae (Urology) or Diplomate National Board (Urology).
    • Experience: After receiving the first postgraduate degree, at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized teaching institution as a Senior Resident (SR), Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the relevant Specialty or Super Specialty.
  21. Assistant Director of Census Operations (Technical) –
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operational Research or Population Sciences or Demography or Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics from an accredited University or Institute.
  22. Assistant Director (Disaster Management) –
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Mathematic Statistics/ Operations Research from an accredited University. 
    • Experience: Five years’ Experience in compilation, presentation and analysis of Statistical data in a Government Office or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Organisation or Universities or Statutory Body.
  23. Library and Information Officer –
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science (from an accredited University or institute. 
    • Experience: Five years’ professional Experience in a Library under Central Government or State Government or autonomous or statutory organization or public sector undertakings or University or recognised research or Educational Qualification institution.
  24. Sub-Regional Employment Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Welfare or Social Work or Sociology or Labour Welfare or Economics or Statistics or Psychology or Commerce or Education of an accredited University or Institute; 
    • Experience: Three years of experience in the following areas: (a) Data collection, analysis, and interpretation; (b) Employment Service Operations, including Employment Market Information; (c) Vocational Guidance and Employment Counseling; or (d) Personnel Organization and Management.
  25. Assistant Administrative Officer – 
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or recognised institute.
    • Experience: Two years’ Experience in Accounts or Administration or Establishment or Budget or disciplinary cases or purchase of stores in a Government office or public sector undertaking or autonomous body or statutory body.
  26. Assistant Chemist –
    • Educational Qualification: Masters’ Degree in Chemistry from an accredited University or institution.
    • Experience: Two years’ Experience in chemical analysis of ores and minerals from a laboratory recognized as a Research Laboratory by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or Department of Science and Technology or any other such Government organization carrying out chemical analysis of ores and mineral.
  27. Ship Surveyor – Deputy Director General (Technical) –
    • ​​Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture from an accredited University or Institute;
    • Experience: Eight years’ Experience in the field of design or construction or repair or surveying in ship building or ship repairing yards.
  28. Engineer & Ship Surveyor  Deputy Director General (Technical) –
    • Educational Qualification: Certificate of competency of marine engineer officer First Class (Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in section 78 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act.
    • Experience: Five years’ service at sea of which 01 year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer.
  29. Assistant Director General –
    • Educational Qualification: Degree of an accredited University or equivalent.
    • Experience: Five years’ Experience in Administration and establishment matters.
  30. Rajbhasha Adhikari in Indian Railways –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) Master’s degree of an accredited University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate Level; or (ii) Master’s degree of an accredited University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate Level; or (iii) master’s degree in any field other than Hindi or English from an approved university, with English serving as the graduate level examination language and Hindi serving as the required or elective language;or (iv) Master’s degree of an accredited University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Graduate Level; or (v) master’s degree in any topic other than Hindi or English from a reputable university, with either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a required or elective subject at the degree level;
    • Experience: (i) Three years of experience using or applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translating from English to Hindi or vice versa, ideally of technical or scientific literature under the Central or State Governments, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, or recognized research or educational qualification institutions; or (ii) Three years of experience working for the federal or state governments, autonomous bodies, statutory organizations, public sector undertakings, universities, or accredited research or educational qualification institutions as a teacher or researcher in Hindi or English.
  31. Medical Officer (Ayurveda) –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) Degree in Ayurveda of an accredited University or Statutory State Board/Council of equivalent recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970). (ii) Enrolment in State Register or Central Register of Ayurveda.
  32. Consultant Biochemistry –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) A MBBS degree qualification recognized as per Chapter VI of National Medical Commission Act 2019. (ii) A post graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned speciality, recognized as per Chapter VI of National Medical Commission Act 2019.
    • Experience: 03 years’ Experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining the post graduate degree or 05 years’ Experience in the speciality after obtaining the PG diploma.
  33. Consultant Dentistry/Consultant Dental Surgeon –
    • Educational Qualification: (i) A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery included in Part I or Part II of the schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) A PG Degree qualification in Dental Sciences, as included in part I or Part II of the schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1948) and (iii) Should be registered with Dental council of India or with State Dental Council.
    • Experience: Three years of Experience in Dental work after post-graduation.
  34. Consultant Emergency Medicine –
