Educational Qualification for KVK:
- Senior Scientists – Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist /Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade pay of Rs. 5400/Rs. 6000/Rs. 7000/Rs. 8000 having made contribution to research /teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovations and impact.
- Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) – Master’s Degree in Horticulture or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
- Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – Master’s Degree in Veterinary science or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
- Programme Assistant (Lab technician) – Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
Age Limit for KVK: (As on 12.07.2026)
- Senior Scientists – Not exceed more than 47 years
- Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) – Not exceed more than 35 years
- Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – Not exceed more than 30 years
