SEBI has released the recruitment notification to fill the 91 Young Professional (Securities Market Operations), Young Professional (Law), Young Professional (Research), Young Professional (Information Technology), Young Professional (Rajbasha) Posts. This online facility will be available on the Official website @ https://www.sebi.gov.in/ from 08.02.2026 to 20.02.2026. Before submitting an application, candidates must carefully read the SEBI Young Professional 2026 notification and verify their eligibility. 

Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech, LLB, MBA, M.Sc, MCA, Master Degree, CA/CMA are eligible to apply for these opportunities. Mumbai is where posts are typically made. 4 to 7 days before the exam. A link to get the online exam hall pass will be sent to registered email addresses of eligible applicants.

SEBI Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for SEBI: (As on 29.02.2026)

  1. Young Professional (Securities Market Operations) –
    • Educational Qualification: Post Graduate qualification (degree / 2-year diploma) in Management (with specialization in Finance) from a recognized and reputed university/ institution, with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA; OR Chartered Accountant 1 (CA) / Company Secretary2 (CS) / Cost Management Accountant 3 (CMA), with minimum 55% aggregate marks in the final level of course; OR Successfully completed all 3 levels of Chartered Financial Analyst course from CFA Institute (USA).
    • Work Experience: At least 1 (one) year of work experience in the financial sector after completion of PG qualification or CA/CS/CMA/CFA.
  2. Young Professional (Law) –
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Law from a recognized and reputed university/ institution, with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
    • Work Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in corporate / securities laws after completion of the LLB/ LLM. Preference shall be given to candidates with work experience in a financial or investment environment requiring knowledge of market practices and rules, regulations and guidelines governing the securities industry. 
  3. Young Professional (Research) –
    • Educational Qualification: Post Graduate qualification (degree / 2-year diploma) in Management (with specialization in Finance) / Economics / Commerce / Financial Economics / Business Economics / Applied Statistics / Econometrics from a recognized and reputed university/ institution, with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Preference shall be given to Applicants who have completed their PhD in concerned fields like Economics /  Commerce/ Econometrics / Finance preferably with focus on financial markets. 
    • Work Experience: For Candidates with only Post Graduate qualification at least 1 (one) year of research/work experience in areas including but not limited to financial markets, macroeconomic theory, corporate governance, corporate finance, Financial institutions and related areas of international finance. This may be supported by published work/working papers/ submission of papers in international or domestic research conferences. For Applicants with PhD qualification, the requisite work experience is not mandatory.
  4. Young Professional (Information Technology) –
    • Educational Qualification: Anyone of the following degrees from a recognized and reputed university/ institution with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA:  B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Computer Science (CS)/ Information Technology (IT); OR  MCA / MSc (Information Technology (IT)) / MSc. (Computer Science (CS)) / MBA (Systems) / MBA (Analytics) / M. Tech (Computer Science/ IT/ concerned Stream) / MS (Computer Science/IT/concerned Stream) or equivalent degree.
    • Work Experience: At least 1 (one) year of work experience in the field of software development (programming) or cyber security.
  5. Young Professional (Rajbasha) –
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Hindi/ Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level; OR Master’s Degree in Sanskrit/ English/ Economics/ Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level; OR Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi/ Hindi Translation from a recognized University / Institute.
    • Work Experience: At least 1 (one) year of work experience in the field including the ‘knowledge of Hindi Typing’.

Age Limit for SEBI: (As on 08.02.2026)

  1. Young Professional – Not more than 30 years

Pay Scale for SEBI:

  1. Young Professional  – Rs.70,000/-
