Educational Qualification for TIFR:
- Project Scientific Officer –
- Minimum Qualification: Full Time Master’s degree in Physics/Astrophysics/Mathematics (with aggregate of 60% marks) from a recognized university OR Full time Degree in Engineering (BE/B. Tech with aggregate of 60% marks) from a recognized university/institute in Electronics or allied field.
- Experience: 1 years’ experience in science communication and outreach activities or teaching, in a formal or non-formal capacity.
- Essential skills:
- Knowledge of basic astronomy
- Good computer skills
- good communication skills
- Can speak and write fluently in English.
- Project Engineer (SRC Hardware) –
- Minimum Qualification: Full time Degree in Engineering (BE/ B. Tech with aggregate of 60% marks) from a recognized university/institute in Computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications and allied fields
- Essential skills:
- Knowledge of Computer Organization and Computer Architecture.
- Knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/ Linux operating system
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write programs in Python or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with computer hardware installation.
- Have a desire to learn new skills, be able to communicate clearly, work and collaborate with other team members
