Educational Qualification for Chennai Port Authority:

- Essential Qualification: (i) A degree from an accredited university. (ii) Degree or diploma in social science from an accredited university / institution. (iii) Knowledge of the local language.
- Desirable Qualification & Experience: Two years of experience working for a government, business, or industrial organization as a labor welfare or industrial relations officer.
- Law Officer Gr-I –
- Essential Qualification: Degree in Law from an accredited university.
- Desirable Qualification & Experience: (i) Two years of executive experience in a government, commercial, or industrial establishment. (ii) A law postgraduate degree from an accredited university.
- Sr. Accounts Officer –
- Essential Qualification: i) Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. ii) Five years of executive cadre experience in the fields of accounting and finance in a government, commercial, or industrial enterprise.

- Essential Qualification: i) Passed SSLC and should have successfully undergone the Divisional Officer’s Course of Training at the National Fire Service College of Nagpur. Preference will be given to candidates possessing B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects or ii) Should have passed the graduateship examination of the Institute of Fire, Engineers (London) or, iii) B.E. (Fire Engineering) Experience: – Should have served full time for not less than 5 years in a well-established Fire Service Organization in an Industrial Town in a rank not below a Station Officer.
