Puducherry CGL Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for Puducherry CGL:
- Statistical Inspector – Post Graduate Degree from recognized University in Economics / Statistics / Mathematics or its equivalent.
- Library and Information Assistant – (1) Degree from a recognized University; and (2) Degree in Library Information Science from a recognized University.
- Agriculture Officer – Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from a recognized University/institution or equivalent.
- Technical Officer – a) Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial / Production Engineering / Chemical / Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Textiles from a recognized Board or University; and b) Practical experience in a workshop or factory for a period not less than two years. Desirable:- Degree in Mechanical / Chemical /Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Industrial / Production Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology / Textiles from a recognized University.
- Agriculture Officer (Engineering) – (i) (A) Degree in Agriculture or Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent (or) (B)Diploma in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent; and (ii) 2 years’ experience with proficiency in soil conservation/bore well sinking/repairs to Agricultural machinery.
- Agriculture Officer (Hydrogeology) – (i) Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology of a recognized University or equivalent; (or) (ii) Diploma in Geology or Applied Geology from the Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad.
- Upper Division Clerk – Bachelor Degree of an Accredited University.
- Field Supervisor – A degree of a recognized university in Economics / Statistics / Maths or its equivalent.
Nativity / Residence:
- Only those who are native to the Union Territory of Puducherry and have lived continuously in the U.T. for the five years prior to the notification date are qualified to apply for the positions; and
- At the time of certificate verification, the chosen candidates must present a new Nativity/Residence Certificate issued by a Department of Revenue and Disaster Management officer at least as high as Deputy Tahsildar.
