Selection Process:
- Selection of candidates shall be done by ranking of all candidates put together. The candidates are selected on the basis of total marks secured in the +2 Examinations.
- 10th Std. passed + 2 years I.T.I., are selected on the basis of Total Marks secured in the Qualifying Examinations, up to a maximum of 10% sanctioned intake.

For students who are unable to apply online, provisions have been made to apply through District Service Centres (TNEA Facilitation Centre). - The following original certificates should be produced at the time of admission to the Principal.
- Transfer Certificate in original from the Head of the Educational Institution in which the candidate had last studied;
- HSC/ITI mark sheet or mark sheet issued by the concerned educational authority for the qualifying examination; SSLC mark sheet issued by the Head Master of the School, will not be accepted.
- Original community certificate for ST / SC / SC(A) / MBC & DNC / BC (Others) / BC (Muslims) from prescribed authority
