Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. Grade Pay Rs.1900 – 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen candidates and candidates possess higher qualification like Graduation/Post Graduation) (OR) A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI certificate for the posts of Artisans in Technical Categories. |
| 2. Grade Pay Rs.1800 – (i) 10th pass from a recognised Board with National Apprenticeship certificate granted by NCVT or 10th pass from a recognised Board with ITI for appointment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, S&T and Catering departments. (ii) 10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognised Board for appointment in other departments. |
The following qualifications would apply for recruitment of Scouts & Guides to posts in Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- and Grade pay Rs. 1800/-:
(a) A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
(b) In terms of Rly Boards letter No. E (NG) II/2023/RR-2/1 dated 10.04.2024, a regards admissibility of Provisional Certificates of a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder candidates may be provisionally allowed to participate in the selection procedure. However, their empanelment/appointment will be regulated as per procedure laid down in Para 1(ii) of RRCB Circular No. 1/2000 dated 07.02.2000.
(c) Should have been an active member of a Scouts /Guides organization for the last 5 years. The ‘Certificate of Activeness’ should be as per Annexure-II
(d) Should enclosed the details of events attended as per Annexure –VII
(e) Should have attended at least two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level AND Two events at State level.
