NCESS Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for NCESS:
- Scientist B (Group) Post Code 01 –
- Essential : Master’s Degree in Geology or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level from a recognised University.
- Desirable : Doctoral Degree with research experience/specialisation in the field of Planetary Geology/Palaeomagnetism, as evidenced through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Scientist B (Group A) Post Code 02 –
- Essential : Master’s Degree in Geology or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level from a recognised University.
- Desirable : Doctoral Degree with research experience/specialisation in the field of Mineralogy / Petrology / Critical Minerals, as evidenced through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Scientist B (Group A) Post Code 03 –
- Essential : Master’s Degree in Geophysics or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level from a recognised University.
- Desirable : Doctoral Degree with research experience/specialisation in the field of Gravity/Magnetic/Resistivity/Seismological studies, as evidenced through publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Scientist D (Group A) Post Code 04 –
- Essential : Master’s Degree in Geology / Marine Geology or equivalent from a recognised University AND Seven years’ experience in research and development in Industrial or Science and Technology Organisation or Academic Institutions or scientific activities and services.
- Desirable : (1) Doctoral Degree with research experience/specialisation in the field of River/Marine Sediment Geochemistry / Coastal Zone Management as evidenced through publications in peer-reviewed journals. (2) Experience in policy making, planning, management, etc., related to the specified field.
