NID AP Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for NID AP:

1. Principal Designer – 
   • Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Design from a recognized University/ reputed Institution. 
   • Desirable: Doctorate in Design
   • Experience: Minimum 10 years in relevant field of Design
2. Faculty –
   • Essential qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Design (after 10+2 and of not less than 03 years duration) from the recognized University/ reputed Institution. 
   • Desirable: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Design 
   • Experience: Minimum 5 years in relevant field of Design 
3. Senior Accounts Officer – 
   • Essential: i)Master degree in Commerce/Financial Management from recognized University/ Institution/C.A or equivalent. ii)A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Govt./Educational/ Research Institution, Finance and Account knowledge of Central Government/U.T. Rules 
   • Desirable: (i). Prior experience in an analogous position within educational institutions or autonomous bodies funded by the Government of India.
   •  (ii) Passing the departmental Accounts examination (iii) Members of the organized accounts cadre of Government of India
4. Senior Assistant Librarian – 
   • Essential: i). Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science from a recognized University ii) Experience in Library Automation and Administration iii) Five years’ service as Assistant Librarian in a recognized Institution in the Pay Matrix Level-6 or equivalent. iv) Experience in Library Administration. 
   • Desirable: i). M. Phil/Ph. D in Library Science/ Information Science and Documentation. (i) Computer: Degree/Diploma/Knowledge
   • Assistant – 
   • Essential: i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institution ii) Computer Knowledge 
5. Associate Sr. Technical Instructor –
   • Industrial Design:
     • Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree or 03 years Diploma after 10th in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution; 
     • Experience: Post qualification experience of Four years in case of Degree holder or six years in case of Diploma holder in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production Engineering or relevant field in academic institution/industry. 
     • Desirable: Should be able to converse in English, working knowledge of relevant software
   • Textile & Apparel Design: 
     • Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree or 03 years Diploma after 10th in Fashion Design/Apparel Design/ Garment Manufacturing Technology/Pattern Making and Garment Construction (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution; 
     • Experience: 
     • For Degree holders, a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience is required, while Diploma holders must have six years of experience. This experience should be in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Garment Manufacturing Technology, Pattern Making and Garment Construction, or a related field within an academic institution or industry.
     • Desirable: Should be able to converse in English, working knowledge of relevant software
6. Associate Sr. Design Instructor – 
   • Industrial Design:
     • Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree or 03 years Diploma after 10th in Mechanical/Industrial/Electronics/ Mechatronics/Instrumentation Engineering (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution. 
     • Experience: Post qualification experience of Four years relevant in case of Degree holder or six years in case of Diploma holder in Mechanical/Industrial/ Electronics/Mechatronics/Instrumentation Engineering or a relevant field in academic institution /industry. 
   • Desirable: Should be able to converse in English, working knowledge of relevant software.
   • Communication Design: 
     • Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree or 03 years Diploma after 10th in Communication Design/ Animation /Motion Graphics /Digital Media/ Game Design /Graphic Design (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution.

9. Technical Instructor – 
   • Communication Design:
     • Essential: 3 Years Diploma after SSC in Communication Design/Photography/Flim making/ Cinematography/Sound Design/Audio Engineering (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution with Four years post qualification experience in Photography/Film making/Cinematography/Sound Design/Audio Engineering or relevant field in academic institution/industry. (or) 
     • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design/Photography/ Flim making/ Cinematography/Sound Design/ Audio Engineering (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution with two years post qualification experience in Photography/Film making/ Cinematography/Sound Design/Audio Engineering or relevant field in academic institution/ industry. 
     • Desirable: Should be able to converse  in English, working knowledge of relevant software.
   • Textile & Apparel Design: 
     • Essential: 3 Years Diploma after SSC in Handloom & Textile Technology (or) relevant subject from a recognized institution with Four years post qualification experience in Handloom & Textile Technology or relevant field in academic institution/ industry.     • Industrial Design:
      • Essential: 01 year Certificate Course (CTS) after SSC from ITI or similar institutions affiliated with NCVT, SCVT in Arts & Crafts/Handicrafts (or) relevant field from a recognized institution with Minimum Four years post qualification work experience in Arts & Crafts/Handicrafts or relevant field in academic institution/industry. (or) 03 years Diploma after 10th in Arts & Crafts/ Handicrafts or relevant field from a recognized institution with two years post qualification experience in Arts & Crafts/Handicrafts or relevant field in academic institution/industry. 
      • Desirable Skill Sets: Basic knowledge of Materials like Metal, Wood, Plastic, Ceramic, Bamboo and Painting with Finishes. Expertise in Handling and Maintenance of Basic Machines and Power Tools. Exposure and experience in Indian Handicraft Industry.
    • Textile & Apparel Design: 
      • Essential: 01-year Certificate Course (CTS) after SSC from ITI or similar institutions affiliated with NCVT, SCVT in Handloom & Textile Technology (or) relevant field from a recognized institution with Minimum Four years post qualification work experience in Handloom & Textile Technology or relevant field in academic institution/industry. (or) 03 years Diploma after 10th in Handloom & Textile Technology or relevant field from a recognized institution with two years post qualification experience in Handloom & Textile Technology or relevant field in academic institution/industry. 
      • Desirable Skill Sets: Expertise in Handloom Weaving Techniques with materials like Cotton, Silk with Zari on Lattice/Jaquard Attachment. Expertise in handling more than Two Shafts and Tie Ups, PreLoom, On-Loom, Post-Loom Processes. Should be able to handle Tabletop Looms for Sample Making.
