Educational Qualification for NPCIL:
- Trade Apprentice – Completion of ITI course in respective Trade.
- Technician Apprentice – Completion of Diploma or equivalent in respective engineering/technology stream.
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) – Completion of Graduation or equivalent in respective engineering/technology stream.
- Graduate Apprentice (Non Engineering) – Graduation or equivalent in respective general streams such as BA, B.Sc.& B.Com.
Age Limit for NPCIL: (As on 06.04.2026)
- Trade Apprentice – Minimum age 18 years and maximum 24 years
- Technician Apprentice – Minimum age 18 years and maximum 25 years
- Graduate Apprentice – Minimum age 18 years and maximum 26 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
- +5 Years for ST/SC
- +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
- Persons with Disabilities candidate:

- The Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice need to register themselves at National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0) portal “https://www.nats.education.gov.in/”.
