Educational Qualification for IITM:
- Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in Physical Sciences [includes Physics/ Applied Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Oceanography / Climate Science/ Geophysics with Meteorology/ Environmental Sciences/ Electronics or related subjects] / Chemical Sciences [includes Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry or related subjects]/ Mathematical Sciences [includes Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ statistics or concerned subjects]. OR M. Tech. in Atmospheric/ Oceanic Sciences or concerned subjects. OR Master’s degree from any branch of Engineering. AND
- The candidates should have qualified in one of the following national level examinations: CSIR-UGC NET / UGC NET / ICAR NET (Lecturership / Assistant Professorship) / GATE / JEST.
- The Candidates should have at least 55% aggregate marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and PwBD) in the Master’s degree.
- The candidates should have studied Physics AND Mathematics subjects at bachelor’s degree.
- Desirable Qualification: Demonstrated skills in computer programming, FORTRAN, C, PYTHON and working experience in Linux, UNIX, Windows platforms.
