Educational Qualification for CSL:
- Welder – Fitter (Welder/ Welder (Gas & Electric))
- Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC/10th, ITI (NTC/NAC) in the trade of Welder (Gas and Electric).
- Experience: Gas cutting and welding (gas and electric, manual, automated, MIG/semi-automatic special welding), gouging, gas and electric brazing, flame heating, chipping and grinding, staging, and handling in a shipyard require at least five years of post-qualification experience or
- Engineering Company or
- Government Company or Establishment or
- Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
- Welder – Fitter (Sheet Metal Worker)
- Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC/10th, ITI (NTC) and All India National Trade Test (NAC) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker.
- Experience: Minimum five years post qualification experience in the areas of Structural work using machines like bending machine, shearing machine, hydraulic presses etc and or in repair and maintenance of heavy duty cranes, hydraulic presses, compressors, pneumatic tools in a

- Experience: Minimum five years post qualification experience as a Carpenter in a

- Painter

Age Limit for CSL: (As on 23.01.2026)
- The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 35 years as on 23 January 2026, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 24 January 1991
