TNMAWS JE, AE Selection Process:

The Selection Procedure of the Exam will be as follows:

1. Written Exam

2. Interview

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

I) Written Examination (Objective Type) (OMR Method):

Degree Standard

** All the Canditates appearing for Sanitary Inspector post shall write Paper-I – Public Health and Sanitation (Code No.110)

– Those who are possessing degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence in Civil Engineering, (Refer Annexure II) will write Paper I – Civil Engineering (Code No.101).

– Those who are possessing degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalence in Mechanical Engineering (Refer Annexure II) will write Paper I – Mechanical Engineering (Code No. 102).

– Those who are possessing degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalence in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Refer Annexure II) will write Paper I – Electrical Engineering (Code No. 103).

– Those who are appearing for Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Corporations and Town Planning Officer Grade-II / Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities possessing degree in Civil Engineering will write Paper I – Civil Engineering (Code No.101).

– Those who are appearing for Assistant Engineer (Planning) in Corporations, Town Planning Officer Grade-II / Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities and Town Planning Inspector / Junior Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities and possessing degree in town planning will write Paper I – Town planning (Code No.104) and they should write Paper – II General Studies in Degree standard (Code No.301) as well as Paper –II General Studies in Diploma Standard (Code No.401).

– Those who are appearing for Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Corporations and Town Planning Officer Grade-II / Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities and possessing Degree in Architecture will write Paper I – Architecture (Code No.105).

II) Written Examination (Objective Type) (OMR Method):

Diploma Standard

– Those who are possessing Diploma in Civil Engineering, will write Paper I – Civil Engineering (Code No.201).

– Those who are possessing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, will write Paper I – Mechanical Engineering (Code No.202).

– Those who are possessing Diploma in Electrical Engineering, will write Paper I – Electrical Engineering (Code No.203).

– Those who are appearing for Town Planning Inspector/Junior Engineer (Planning) posts in municipalities and possessing Diploma in civil Engineering will write Paper I – Civil Engineering (Code No.201).

– Those who are appearing for Assistant Engineer (Planning) in Corporations, Town Planning Officer Grade-II / Assistant Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities and Town Planning Inspector / Junior Engineer (Planning) posts in Municipalities and possessing degree in town planning will write Paper I – Town planning (Code No.104) and they should write Paper – II General Studies in Degree standard (Code No.301) as well as Paper –II General Studies in Diploma Standard (Code No.401).

– Those who are appearing for Town Planning Inspector/Junior Engineer (Planning) posts in municipalities and possessing Diploma in Architecture will write Paper I – Architecture (Code No.205).

Note:

a) Answer sheets of Paper-I, and Part B of Paper II of the candidates will not be evaluated, if the candidate does not secure minimum qualifying marks (40% of 150) in Part-A of Paper-II.

b) Only marks secured in Paper-I and Part-B of Paper-II will be considered for ranking. c) The questions for all the subjects (Except Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering) included in Paper I will be set in English language only. The questions for the subjects in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will be set both in English and Tamil Languages. The questions in Part–B of Paper-II will be set both in Tamil and English Languages. Candidates should choose and specify in the application, only the prescribed subject in which they have obtained the educational qualification for appearing to the examination.

d) If answer / answer sheet of a candidate for one paper is declared not fit for valuation, the answer sheet of the candidate for the remaining papers will not be evaluated.
