1. Probation Officer –
(i) A degree in Arts or Science
(ii) Other things being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess a degree in Sociology or Psychology
(iii) Other things being equal preference shall be given to those who have practical experience in having done social welfare work or who possess a Diploma in Social Service including experience in social and moral hygiene and aftercare work
2. Deputy Commercial Tax Officer –
(i) Must possess the degree of B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com.,
(ii) Other things being equal preference shall be given to candidates as follows: First Candidates – who hold a Degree both in Commerce and Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Law Second Candidates
– who hold Degree in Commerce and Law Third Candidates
– who hold a Degree either in Commerce or Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Law Fourth Candidates
– who hold a Degree in Commerce Fifth Candidates

(viii) Who possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare awarded by the Madras Productivity Council or
(ix) Who possesses a P.G. Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, conducted by the Madurai Institute of Social Work, Madurai or
(x) Who possesses a M.A., Degree in Work Education awarded by the University of Madras or
(xi) Who are released Short Service, Regular Commissioned Officers or Emergency Commissioned Officers or Other Ex-Servicemen
5. Sub Registrar, Grade-II –
(i) A Degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission
(ii) Other things being equal, preference shall be given to persons who, in addition to the qualification specified above possess a B.L., Degree
6. Special Assistant –
(i) A Degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission; and
(ii) Must have passed the Government Technical Examinations in Typewriting, both in English and Tamil, by the Higher Grade
7. Special Branch Assistant – Greater Chennai Police  –
(i) A Degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission
(ii) Preference will be given to those who have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand atleast by the Lower Grade Note: A person appointed to the post shall pass the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade within the prescribed period of his / her probation, unless he / she has already passed the said examination
8. Special Branch Assistant – Criminal Investigation –
(i) A Degree from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission

(iii) A pass in the Government Technical Examinations in Shorthand in Tamil and English both by Higher / Senior Grade Provided that if candidates with the qualifications referred to in items (ii) and (iii) above are not available, candidates who have passed the following examinations in the order of preference indicated below may be appointed, namely;
a. Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand in Tamil both by the Higher / Senior Grade and Typewriting and Shorthand in English both by the Lower / Junior Grade.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 14.06.2024)

1. College Director of Physical Education and Sports in Government Law Colleges (Post Code 2156)
(A) (i) A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed: Provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Backward Classes / Backward Classes Muslims / Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities and Differently-abled candidates the minimum marks shall be 50% or an equivalent grade.
(ii) Must have represented the University or College at the interuniversity or inter-collegiate competitions or the State or National championships.
(iii) (a) Must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET: Provided that qualification in NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET; or
(b) Must have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science, in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or subsequent UGC Regulations on the subject: Provided that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bye-laws/ Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D degree holders shall be exempted from the requirement of NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and appointment of College Director of Physical Education and Sports on furnishing a certificate from the Registrar or the Dean (Academic affairs) of the concerned university that he fulfills the following conditions:- (a) The Ph.D degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode;
(b) The Ph.D thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
(c) An open Ph.D viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
(d) The candidate has published two research papers from his Ph.D work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
(e) The candidate has presented at least two research papers in conference / seminar based on his Ph.D. work.
(iv) Must have passed the Physical Fitness Test conducted in accordance with UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018; or
(B) Must have won a medal in an Asian Game or Commonwealth Games and possess a degree not less than Post-Graduation level.
2. Manager Grade – III (Legal) (Post Code 3311) – A Degree in Law obtained from a recognized University.
3. Senior Officer (Legal)(Post Code 3312) – B.L. Degree from a Law College recognized by University Grants Commission.
4. Assistant Manager (Legal) (Post Code 3259) –
i) Must possess a degree in Law awarded by a recognized University (B.L.)
ii) Must have sound knowledge of Corporate Laws, Labour Laws, and experience on the original side in City Civil Courts or Mofussil courts for a period not less than five (5) years and must have good knowledge and practice in Motor Accidents Claims / Tribunal, Labour Courts, etc. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates possessing Post-Graduate Diploma in Labour Laws / Social Science
5. Assistant Manager (Legal) (Post Code 3338) – Degree in Law from a recognized University.
6. Tamil Reporter (Post Code 3336) –
i) Must hold a bachelor’s degree.

ii) Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Finance Other things being equal, preference will be given to persons with experience for a period of not less than three years in finance or administration matters.
Note:
(i) Experience should be acquired in the Managerial cadre / Officers in the Public Sector Organizations in the field of Finance or Administration matters.
(ii) Experience gained in Government / Universities / Quasi Government Organizations / Public Sectors / Private Institutions shall be accepted. Experience gained in Private Institution which have been registered under Company’s Act (Private Limited) shall be accepted.
(iii) The Competent authority to issue the Experience Certificate shall be the General Manager / Equivalent Cadre.
19. Assistant Director of Town and Country Planning (Post Code 1778) –
i) Post Graduate Degree in Town or City or Urban or Housing or Country or Rural or Infrastructure or Regional or Transport or Environmental Planning from a recognized University or Institute. (or)
ii) Must be an Associate of the Institute of Architects or possess B.Arch Degree or possess Degree or Diploma recognized and equivalent to the National Diploma in Architecture with experience in town planning works for a period of not less than three years in a Town Planning Department of Government or in the Statutory Boards or Urban Authorities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations or Local Bodies (or)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 25.11.2023)

1. Assistant Agricultural Officer –
(i) Must have passed Higher Secondary (plus two) Examination.
(ii) Must possess two years Diploma in Agriculture from the Institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; or Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul District; or Annamalai University or any other institution under the control of the Commissioner of Agriculture.
Note:
1. Candidate who have not possessed the two year Diploma in Agriculture are not eligible for the post of Assistant Agricultural Officer even though they possess Higher Qualification.
2. Diploma in Agricultural Technology (3 Years Course) is not the prescribed Educational qualification as per the special rule for the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Subordinate Service.
2. Assistant Horticultural Officer –
1) A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
and
A pass in two years Diploma course in Horticulture in the Institutions approved by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University / Gandhigram Rural University / Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops or Diploma course in Horticulture awarded by the Annamalai University.
Note:-
1. Degree Holders in Horticulture are not eligible for the post of Assistant Horticultural Officer.
2. Two Years Diploma in Agriculture and One Year Post Diploma in Commercial Horticulture are not eligible for this post.

Note:

(i) The educational qualification prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies viz. 10th + HSC + Diploma Course (10+2+2). The results of the examination should have been declared on or before the date of Notification.

(ii) Applicants claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed Diploma qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification in the form of G.O. issued prior to the date of this notification when called for, failing which, their application will be summarily rejected. The G.O.s regarding equivalence of qualification issued after the date of this notification will not be accepted for this recruitment.

Note:

(i) The total number of free chances availed, will be calculated on the basis of claims made in previous applications for direct recruitment, to the Commission.

(ii) The number of free chances availed by the applicant will be verified by the Commission at any stage of the selection process.

(iii) In case an applicant who makes a false claim for exemption from payment of application fee by suppressing information regarding his previous application(s) his candidature shall be rejected after due process and he shall be debarred for a period of one year from appearing for examinations and selections conducted by the Commission.

(iv) Applicants are directed to carefully choose the options ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ regarding availing the fee concession.

(v) Applicants are advised in their own interest, to keep an account of the number of times fee concession availed, irrespective of the information displayed in the <Application History> of the applicant dashboard.

(vi) An application (irrespective of the post applied for) claiming fee concession will operate to exclude one chance from the number of free chances allowed.

(vii) Applicants who have availed the maximum number of free chances permitted / applicants who do not wish to avail of the fee concession / applicants who are not eligible for fee concession, shall choose the option ‘No’ against the query regarding fee concession. Such applicants shall thereafter pay the requisite fee through the prescribed mode of payment.

(viii) Failure to pay the prescribed fee in time along with the online application, will result in the rejection of application after due process
