Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. Project Associate-I (Ecology) – Essential Qualification: Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in life sciences or environmental sciences (Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Wildlife Science/ Conservation Biology/Biodiversity Studies/Forestry/Ecological Sciences/Environmental Studies or any other allied disciplines) from a recognized university. Desirable Qualifications: i) Keen interest in cave and karst conservation, and related environmental issues; ii) skill in identification/classification of invertebrates and vertebrates, and in sampling and preserving techniques; iii) willingness to reside in remote locations with challenging conditions, and travel extensively by both road and sea between the islands; iv) proficiency in cave exploration and mapping, SRT technique, free climbing, and rock climbing; v) familiarity with data analysis and GIS tools; and vi) proficiency in Hindi (speaking, reading, and writing). |

Project Associate-I (Geology) – Essential Qualification: Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in geology, earth sciences, geomorphology, environmental geography, geosciences, environmental sciences, or any other allied disciplines from a recognized university. Desirable Qualifications: i) Keen interest in cave and karst explorations in remote locations; ii) skill in identification and characterization of geomorphological features and rock formations; iii) familiarity with geochemistry including soil and water chemistry and related analytical techniques; iv) proficiency in cave exploration and mapping, GIS tools, SRT technique, free climbing, and rock climbing; and v) proficiency in Hindi (speaking, reading, and writing). |
| 3. Research Associate-I – Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in life sciences (Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Wildlife Science/Conservation Biology/Biodiversity Studies/Ecological Sciences or any other allied disciplines) from a recognized university. Desirable Qualifications: i) Competence in identification of wild birds and mammals; ii) professional experience in the field of bird/wildlife hazard management issues; iii) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; iv) proficiency in English and Hindi, and iv) possession of valid two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving license. |
