NTPC Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for NTPC:
- Engineer (Geology) –
- Qualification: M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech)/ M.Tech in Applied Geology/Geology/ with at least Sixty marks from an A accredited University/ Institution. Candidates who have earned a Ph.D. in their fields will be given preference.
- Experience Requirement: A minimum of five years of relevant experience following graduation in the fields of engineering geology, structural geology, geological mapping, tectonic interpretation, fault/lineament identification, ArcGIS software competency, geophysical data processing, etc. Experience gained while working on a Ph.D. project will be considered relevant experience (duly certified and approved by the relevant Guide/Head of Deptt/Institutions).
- Engineer (Geophysics) –
- Qualification: M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech)/ M.Tech in Applied Geophysics/Geophysics with at least Sixty marks from an accredited University/ Institution. Candidates who have earned a Ph.D. in their fields will be given preference.
- Experience requirement: At least five years of relevant experience after graduation in the following areas: Probabilistic/Deterministic Seismic Hazard Assessment; Acquisition, Processing, and Interpretation of 2D/3D Seismic Reflection Data; Shallow Seismic Studies (MASW/Refraction); Electrical Resistivity Tomography; Gravity; Magnetic Studies; ArcGIS Software Proficiency; Geophysical Data Processing, etc. Experience working on a Ph.D. project will be considered relevant experience if it has been properly certified and validated by the relevant department head, guide, or institution.
