Scientific Officer “C” (Systems) – Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Physics /Mathematics / IT/ Computer Science / Computer Applications) (OR) Bachelor’s Degree (BE, B.Tech. or equivalent) in Engineering (Computer Science/ EEE / ECE /IT) from a reputed College / Institution Experience: 3 – 5 Years Desirable Skills: Experience in a similar position in 2 reputed academic institutions • Work experience in maintaining LINUX/UNIX systems ina LAN environment • Knowledge of database management systems • Knowledge of HPC cluster management • Proficiency in programming languages: MySQL, Perl, Java, in addition. Essential Skills: • Linux/Mac/Windows System administration • Knowledge of computer architecture, storage and computer networking • Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripts, C++, Python, PHP • Maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure in large data-centres • Knowledge of multimedia projection, web-casting, Video- conferencing etc. • Knowledge of web applications, content management, • Knowledge of IT security Ability to learn on the job to essential skills in C+, PHP, Python, Unix Shell Scripting • Experience in MPL, GPU coding |
