CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI) invites online recruitment applications through CSIR-CMERI website (https://www.cmeri.res.in/) (Advt. No. 01/2026) for the following posts of 27 Technician vacancies on regular basis. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, According to the official timeline, the online application portal opens today, 04.07.2026 at 10:00 AM, and interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date on 03.08.2026 up to 5:00 PM.

Eligible candidates possessing a 10th, ITI can apply exclusively via the online mode. CMERI Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for CMERI: 

  1. Technician (Fitter) – 
    • Essential Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Fitter from a recognized institution. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 2 years’ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Fitter from a recognized institution. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 3 years of work experience in Fitter in a Ministry /Department/ Organization / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT.
  2. Technician (Electrician / Mechanic (Electrical Power DRI) – 
    • Essential Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard / SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Electrician / Mechanic (Electrical Power DRIVES) from a recognized institution Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 2 years’ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Electrician / Mechanic (Electrical Power DRIVES) from a recognized institution.   5. Technician (Foundryman) – 
    • Essential Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Foundryman from a recognized institution. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 2 years’ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Foundryman from a recognized institution. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 3 years of work experience in Foundryman in a Ministry /Department/ Organization / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT.
  6. Technician (Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel)) – 
    • Essential Qualification: SSC / 10th Standard/ SSC or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and ITI certificate or national / state trade certificate in Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel) from a recognized institution. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum Fifty Percentage marks and 2 years’ full time experience as an apprentice trainee in Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel) from a recognized institution. Relaxation of Upper age limit:
