SERC Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for SERC:
- Trade (ITI) Apprentice
- Qualified candidates in the particular trade of NCVT pattern designated by Director General of Employment & Training (DGE&T) and who have registered with Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT), Chennai will only be considered for selection.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice
- Diploma in Engineering / Technology in full time granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government/University/Institutions in relevant discipline.
Note: Technician candidates who have passed the qualifying exam in 2022/2023/2024/2025 are only eligible.
Age Limit for SERC: (As on 20.05.2026)
- Trade (ITI) Apprentice Training – Minimum 14 years
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice Training- Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
- +5 Years for ST/SC
