ICMR-NIOH Research Associate Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. Research associate (RA) – Essential Qualification: Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc./ M. Pharm/ ME/M.Tech with at least 1 research paper in science Citation Indexed (SCl) Journal. Desirable qualification: Candidate having extensive research experience in environmental microbiology and microbial content analysis, antimicrobial resistance studies, molecular biology & bioinformatics, metagenomics and NGS data analysis with good research publications as documentary evidence will be preferred. Candidate will be required to do field visits and liaison with other organizations. Experience of working on field and handling environmental and human samples will be an added advantage. Proficiency in scientific writing. |
| 2. Project Technical Support – III – Essential Qualification: Graduate in (Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics) + Three-year experience in relevant subject/field. OR Post graduate in (Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics) Desirable qualification: Candidate with knowledge and technical experience of environmental microbiology, microbial isolation and characterization technique, molecular biology tool will be preferred. Candidate will be required to do field visits as per requirement. Experience of working on field and handling, microbial culture, molecular techniques, environmental sampling and human samples will be an added advantage. Candidates with MLT will be additional qualification to perform blood collection, biochemistry, immunological profiling of the biological sample. |

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:
| 1. Research associate (RA) – Rs. 47,000/- per month + HRA as applicable |
| 2. Project Technical Support – III – Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA as applicable |
