IISc System Engineer Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. System Engineer – I – Educational Qualifications: BE/BTech in CS/IT/EE/ECE/ME/equivalent / MCA / M.Sc. (CS). Experience: Only for HPC System Administration Services: No work experience is required. However, familiarity with Programming and Linux is expected for the HPC System Administration Services category. |
| 2. System Engineer – Educational Qualifications: II – BE/BTech in CS/IT/EE/ECE/ME/equivalent / MCA / M.Sc. (CS). Experience: Only for HPC System Administration Services: 2 years of work experience of having worked with Linux systems and familiarity with Programming are required. Work experience in managing Linux systems is desirable. |
| 3. Senior System Engineer – II – Educational Qualifications: BE/BTech in EE/ equivalent. Experience: Only for Electrical Infrastructure Management: 8 years of relevant work experience in Electrical Infrastructure management including some of the following: Management of transformers, electrical substations, HT and LT Scada-controlled panels, DGs, UPSes, power distribution components, automation and control, motor controls, and other electrical components. Such relevant experience carried out in data centers is highly desirable. |

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. IISc System Engineer Selection Process 2023:
The selection will be based on an online test and an online interview. Only the candidates securing the cutoff marks and above in the test will be called for an interview, which will be conducted subsequently. The final selection will be on the basis of performance in the interview.
