MDL Non-Executive Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. AC Refrigeration Mechanic – National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning”. One-year shipbuilding experience is compulsory. |
| 2. Carpenter – Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Carpenter/ Shipwright (wood)”. |
| 3. Chipper Grinder – Candidates who have passed NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year may apply for the said post directly. One-year shipbuilding experience is compulsory |
| 4. Composite Welder – Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate examination passed in the trade of “Welder / Welder (G&E) /TIG & MIG Welder/Structural Welder/Welder (Pipe and Pressure Vessels)/ Advance Welder/Gas Cutter”. One-year shipbuilding experience is compulsory. |

Security Sepoy- Must have passed SSC or equivalent examination conducted by a Board recognized by Govt. or passed Indian Army class – I examination or equivalent examination in the Navy or Air Force and has put in at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union and is otherwise considered fit to hold the post in view of his experience and other qualifications. Age Limit: (As on 01.08.2023)
| Maximum age limit is 38 years and minimum age limit and should not be less than 18 years as on 01 Aug ’23. |
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details:
The candidate selected for the posts shall be placed initially in the following pay scale

| Special Grade (IDA-VIII) – Rs.21000-79380/- |
| Skilled Grade-I (IDA-V)- Rs.17000- 64360/- |
| Semi-Skilled Gr-I (IDA-II)- Rs.13200-49910/- |
Besides the basic pay, they will be entitled to industrial DA, HRA, CPF & allowances etc. as per rules of the Company. Grant of annual increment will be as per Company rules. The selected candidates will be governed by the ESIC Act for the purpose of medical benefits. However, in case the operatives are exempted from the ESIS coverage due to enhancement of wages, they will be covered under the Company’s medical benefit scheme for the employees and their eligible family members.
