Educational Qualification: (As on 01.08.2023)

1. Junior Engineer (Civil) – Border Roads Organization (BRO) – Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/Board; and (b) Two years working experience in Planning/Execution/Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
2. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) – Border Roads Organization (BRO) – Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years’ experience in Planning/Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
3. Junior Engineer (Civil) – Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
4. Junior Engineer (Electrical) – Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Salary Details:

The posts are of Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial in Level6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

SSC JE Selection Process 2023:

SSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Computer Based Examination (Paper-I & Paper-II)
2. Document Verification (DV)
Exam Center In Tamilnadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli & Vellore

Application Fee/Exam Fee for SSC JE: 

– Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). – Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. – Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
